Duty-free fuel

Fuel supplied without payment of a duty under a specific exemption, relief or duty-suspension arrangement, commonly subject to an eligible vessel, voyage or use and prescribed records. "Duty-free" does not automatically mean free of VAT, GST or all taxes, and diversion to an ineligible use can trigger assessment, penalties and recovery of duty.
