Dynamic viscosity

A measure of a fluid's resistance to shearing flow, defined for a Newtonian fluid as shear stress divided by shear rate. It is normally expressed in pascal-seconds or millipascal-seconds, varies strongly with temperature and is related to kinematic viscosity through the fluid's density.
