E-methanol

Methanol synthesised using electricity-derived hydrogen and a carbon source, commonly captured carbon dioxide. The finished product has the same chemical identity and principal handling hazards as other methanol; any renewable or low-emissions claim depends on the electricity source, carbon source, production pathway and certification.
