The annex to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships containing regulations for the prevention of air pollution from ships. It controls matters including sulphur oxides, particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, ozone-depleting substances, volatile organic compounds and shipboard incineration, and also contains energy-efficiency and carbon-intensity requirements.
